This was when he actually gave her the ring!! such a special moment :)
love this face
one of my favorite shots
This is my sister in law and her now new husband.  They were a great first couple to shoot. They were so easy to coach and had such great chemistry all I had to do was keep shooting. :)
All you photogs out there let me know what you think and what I can improve on. This was all done with a Nikon D3000 with no separate flash.  I have since aquired the SB600 flash.  All editing was done on Picasa. I have not had enough money lately to buy photoshop but plan to in the future. If anyone can recommend an equally great but cheaper editing software please let me know.  Anyway let me know what you think :)

Hi there,
so glad that you are visiting my blog! I started this blog a few weeks ago and am just now able to make a post.  If you have ever sold a house you know why it has taken me so long, if you haven't let me fill you in....

Among the droves of paper work and nerve wracking worry that somethinig will fall through with the sale, there is also the lovely business of packing, deciding what to keep or toss, realizing how much JUNK you really have, having to find a new house, praying you can get the house YOU want, having to RE-pack several times cuz your one year old is an expert UN- packer.....you get the picture :)

But I digress.... My purpose for starting this blog was to document my growing passion for photography and my journey from novice/hobbyist to a full time professional photographer. I am also using this blog to display some of my work so that I can get feed back from the cyber world so that I may continue to learn and improve.

My love of photography started from a young age. Even before I had a camera, I remember always walking around with my hands in a frame position seeing how things would look in a picture.  Although life did not lead me directly to the photography world, my love of art, reading, drawing and painting kept that love alive throughout high school and college. Now as a mother of my sweet son, Mason, I have truly realized my total passion for photography and capturing life's precious moments that are so incredibly fleeting. Because of a very generous gift from my in-laws I have been able to further pursue and learn the art and science of photography.  I am by no means as learned as I want to be, but by some gift of God I have an ability to see timeless moments and am able to stop them for a brief second so they can be cherished forever.

Another purpose of this blog is to display my work for clients. I have only had a handful so far  but as my client list increase I hope you be able to post previews of their sessions.  For now I will be putting up previous sessions is the order that they were taken.

So again welcome and thanks for following me on this exciting journey!!
